2016 Mount Riley Central Otago Pinot Noir
Our Limited Release range is made in small amounts and sold through fine wine stores, restaurants and our cellar door.
Our Limited Release Pinot Noir is our foray into Central Otago. The fruit was sourced from the Gibbston Valley sub-region which is generally cooler, but the extended ripening time enabled slow maturation on the vine and expressive flavour development.
The fruit was hand-picked late in the season. Once in the winery, there was minimal handling allowing the fruit to express its purity. The wine further developed while maturing in French oak barriques for 10 months prior to bottling.
